Don at old McKenney place near Kaneohe
The McKenney place with Mount Puu Keahiakahoe, elevation 2850 feet, in the background. The old McKenney place was on the eastern slope of the Koolau Range on the western fringe of the city of Kaneohe, about 10 miles north of Honolulu. Today, the burial site is on undeveloped state property just to the west of the dead end of the residential Kulukeoe Street. To the west of the burial site is the state mental hospital.
